MINISTER MARTINOVIĆ VISITED THE WORKS ON ENERGY REFURBISHMENT OF THE GRAMMAR SCHOOL “VUK KARADŽIĆ” IN TRSTENIK

The Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government, Aleksandar Martinović, PhD, had visited today the start of works on the energy refurbishment of the building of Grammar School “Vuk Karadžić” in Trstenik, which is a project for which MDULS had allocated RSD 10 million in this year.

Speaking about the fact that education is an investment that results in the highest interest and wealth, as often stated by the President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić himself, minister Martinović had said that this is a very important investment, because it represents an investment in better conditions for education and knowledge acquisition.

As he had pointed out, the aforementioned Grammar School in Trstenik was attended by stellar students, winners of numerous awards at domestic and international competitions, and many of them are very successful people today. Minister Martinović wished all the professors, who are doing invaluable work in these challenging times, but also to all the students, that in order to achieve even better results, the State shall continue to build a framework for better education and life, adding that MDULS shall continue its work to that end in the future, in partnership with the local self-government.

The minister had also recalled that Trstenik is one of the 56 Local Self-Government Units that suffered heavy damage in the most recent floods, and that the rehabilitation of local infrastructure and remediation of the consequences in this area will be aided by the State.

He had also recalled that with the support of MDULS, the first stage of modernization of the Parliament in Trstenik was completed, with the aim of conducting the municipal sessions electronically, expressing his belief that the second stage of the works will be completed during the next year.

During his visit to Trstenik, minister Martinović had a working meeting with the President of this Municipality, Milena Turk, and her associates, who informed him about the current state at the local self-government.

On this occassion, minister Martinović had donated 20 laptops to the municipal administration, as a form of support for the development of e-administration in Trstenik, and had also visited the “Stemina” winery.
