MINISTER OBRADOVIĆ VISITED THE MUSEUM OF GENOCIDE VICTIMS

Today, the Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government, Marija Obradović, has visited the Museum of Genocide Victims, where she talked with the director of the Museum, Dejan Ristić, about future joint activities aimed at strengthening the capacities of this national cultural institution.

Minister Obradović has supported the Museum’s initiative to, through direct cooperation with local self-governments, implement numerous programmes in the field of culture, education, cultural memory, scientific research, publishing and information.

The director and assistant director to the Museum, Dejan Ristić and Stanko Debeljaković, have introduced Minister Obradović to the first projects of the newly established Foundation of the Museum of Genocide Victims, as well as to the basic directions of its strategic development.

Although the Museum of Genocide Victims has regular communication with members of the Serbian Government, today’s visit of Minister Obradović to the Museum is the first visit of a minister to this national cultural institution since its founding in 1992, which is why this visit is of great importance.
