MINISTER OBRADOVIĆ VISITS THE MUNICIPALITY OF SJENICA WITH THE PRESIDENT OF SERBIA

Today, the Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government, Marija Obradović, together with the President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić, has visited the Municipality of Sjenica, where she attended a meeting with presidents of local communities, representatives of Local Self-government Units, businessmen and citizens of Sjenica, Tutin and Novi Pazar.

The meeting analyzed the course of current projects in the territories of these LSUs, and new investments and specific projects have been announced. The President of Serbia has promised the construction and paving of numerous roads connecting the villages in this district, while the citizens further expressed their interest in the adaptation and reconstruction of schools, healthcare centres and cultural centres.

Minister Obradović has said that the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government shall finance the rehabilitation of the landslide in the settlement of Šestovo in Novi Pazar with funds from the Budget Fund, as well as the reconstruction of the Tutin municipality building and the reconstruction of the city market in Sjenica.

The President of Serbia and line ministers have talked with representatives and citizens of Sjenica, Tutin and Novi Pazar about the numerous challenges that locals face on the local level, in order to find solutions to current issues and improve the development of these LSUs to the general benefit of citizens.

The conclusion from today’s meeting in Sjenica was the following: “New investments and implementation of strategically important projects imply big changes for this part of Serbia, and shall significantly raise the quality of life of citizens in the entire district.”
