MINISTRY OF PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION AND LOCAL SELF-GOVERNMENT RECEIVES RECOGNITION FOR BEST PROGRESS REPORT

The Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government received an award of recognition for the Best Progress Report today from Milan Marinović, the Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection.

The recognition was received by State Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self- Government Zoran Kasalović at the International Publicity Day celebration, and he pointed out that one of the basic principles of public administration reform was to achieve greater transparency and openness of their work, that being a path to achieving greater public trust in state institutions.

“Therefore, we are very glad that the Ministry of State Administration and Local Self-Government received this recognition as the coordinator of public administration reform and as an institution which should be the leading example of the attitude of the administration towards the citizens. That shows us we are on the right path”, Zoran Kasalović pointed out.

He added that the Ministry would continue to further motivate state bodies and local self-governments to achieve greater openness, transparency and involvement of citizens in policy-making.
