Today, the Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government Marija Obradović and the President of the Municipality of Kosjerić Žarko Đokić signed an Agreement on the Use of Funds from the Budget Fund for the Local Self-Government Program – Support to the Development and Functioning of the Local Self-Government System for the realization of the project of reconstruction of two classrooms and corridors in the preschool institution “Olga Grbić” in this municipality.
After signing the Agreement, Minister Obradović stated that such infrastructure-related projects are among the priorities and expressed satisfaction that the Ministry set aside nine million dinars for this project, an investment project for the future.
“Cities and municipalities applied this year to receive funds from the Budget Fund with 225 projects, amounting to 2.2 billion dinars. That means that they woke up and took action, wanting to improve the lives of their citizens,” said Minister Obradović.
She added that this year, the Ministry had 460 million dinars at its disposal and that it was difficult to accept every fifth project. She pointed out that the realization of this project will result not only in opening up a new space in the kindergarten but also a reduced waiting list for the enrollment of children, as well as the possibility of accepting new groups, as well as hiring educators and other staff. She also welcomed the realization of the establishment of the Single Administrative Point, for which Kosjerić signed a contract with the Ministry amounting to seven million dinars in December last year, in order to save its citizens time and money, but also to modernize the work of its administration.
In addition to visiting the area where the Single Administrative Point and the kindergarten building will be located, the Minister also visited one of the vaccination points in Kosjerić and pointed out that this municipality is among those that did a good job organizing the vaccination, and where over 25 percent of the population over 60 years old have already been vaccinated.
The president of the municipality of Kosjerić, Žarko Đokić, thanked the Ministry for their support for the realization of two important projects in the previous six months and invited the minister to visit Kosjerić after the works have been completed.
