NEW DISTANCE LEARNING TOOLS A GREAT CONTRIBUTION TO THE PROFESSIONAL TRAINING OF REGISTERS

The Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government organized an online conference “Sectoral special professional training of registrars 2021”, with the aim of introducing all actors to the  professional training of registrars and involving them in improving human resource management in local self-government units.

Minister Marija Obradović expressed satisfaction with the fact that over 350 registrars across Serbia responded to the invitation to participate, which shows their interest in this topic, and called on the heads of city and municipal administrations to support the Ministry’s efforts and enable even more registrars to take part in the new training cycle.

“Let’s show how, with the support of professional training, the profession of the registrar, more than a century old, easily changes and adapts to the modern moment and puts itself in the function of optimal service to citizens,” said Obradović.

She emphasized that in 2020 alone, 1,349 registrars conducted over 910 thousand procedures for registration in the registry books, entered over 3 million subsequent notes and issued almost 1.5 million excerpts from the registry books, as well as that thanks to the digitalization of the registry books, 3.7 million citizens did not have to submit personal status documents in various procedures, since they were obtained by the bodies from the Registry Office ex officio.

State Secretary of the Ministry and President of the Council for Professional Development of Employees in Local Self-Government Units Maja Mačužić Puzić stated that the task of the Council is to initiate and support processes that will enable the new system of professional training in public administration to be fully implemented in all cities and municipalities, describing it as a complex process, requiring great commitment and continuous teamwork.

Assistant Minister Jasmina Benmasur presented to the participants eClassroom, a new tool for remote learning, which aims to function more interactively with participants, which was one of the requirements of the registrar in the evaluation of the former year’s training program.
