OBRADOVIĆ: SIGMA SUPPORT FACILITATES TANGIBLE SHIFT IN THE FIELD OF SENIOR CIVIL SERVANTS’ MANAGEMENT

Today, the third meeting of the Special Working Group for Monitoring the Filling of Positions in Public Administration Bodies, was opened by the Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government Marija Obradović. The Working Group members talked via an online platform with SIGMA representatives, who have been providing their expert support in drafting a strategic document on the senior civil servant’s management.

Obradović pointed out that resolving the issue of senior civil servants and strengthening the administrative and legislative framework that regulate this area is Serbia’s obligations in its EU integration process.

She added that the experience of SIGMA consultants and the support they provide to the Working Group were essential, and expressed confidence that the joint cooperation would enable a tangible shift in the field of management of senior civil servants working within the civil service system.

The SIGMA expert team presented a roadmap for the development of a strategic document on the management of senior civil servants, pointing out to the members of the Working Group the priority areas that need to be regulated in the process of filling those positions.
