“In the next period, RSD 166 million will be invested in the implementation of infrastructure projects in the municipality of Koceljeva,” said Marija Obradović, the Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government, during her today’s visit to this local self-government.
She pointed out that the Ministry, will support the construction of a modern Green Market “Tržnica”, together with the European Investment Bank, through the project “Partnership for Local Development” whose value is estimated at RSD 150 million, that would provide a modern green market for the citizens of Koceljevo, following the internationally recognized standards.
During her visit of the municipal administration, Obradovic talked with MP Veroljub Matić, mayor Dusan Ilinčić and Head of the Municipality Slobodan Vasić, about problems of the municipality and overcoming any obstacles to its further development so that Koceljeva could improve the services provided to the citizens and the economy.
The Project Team of the municipality presented to Minister Obradović the Project of reconstruction of the park located next to the Cultural Centre, for which Koceljeva obtained funding in the amount of RSD 16 million from the this year’s Budget of the Ministry.
“I wish to congratulate to the municipal administration of Koceljeva, on their responsible and dedicated work towards developing their municipality and taking care of the needs of its citizens.” Such cooperation and equal financial participation of the national and local level has demonstrated that a joint work and commitment can contribute to the modernization and improvement of the quality of services and capacities for our citizens and help raise the living standard at the local level, “Obradović emphasized.
Together with the leaders of Koceljeva, she visited the premises of the Municipality that could be used as the location for setting up a Single administration point a single place, and invited the Municipality to apply for the Budget funds for this project. Obradović also visited the site of the future Green Market, as well as the reconstruction site of the preschool institution “Poletarac”.
Minister Obradović ended her visit to Koceljeva by addressing the 12th Festival zimnice (Winter Supply Festival), where she asserted that such events were a great opportunity for small producers to present their products, but also for housewives and future entrepreneurs to unite in order for their work to become recognized and acknowledged.
“The state of Serbia, the Ministry I lead, as well as I, personally, are working hard to empower women entrepreneurs, housewives and women from rural areas, and we will continue this combat in every city and municipality in Serbia,” said Obradović.
She also expressed her satisfaction with the fact that over 70 percent of the population over the age of 65 in Koceljeva had been vaccinated against Covid-19 and once again called upon all citizens, especially the young population, to be immunized and thus help preserve the nation’s health and contribute to their country’s economic growth.
