ONE-STOP SHOP OPENED IN SURDULICA

The State Secretary at the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government, Čedomir Rakić, had officially opened the premises of the One-Stop Shop, a modern center for providing services to citizens and the economy, in the Municipality of Surdulica today on behalf of the Minister, Aleksandar Martinović, PhD, assisted by the Minister without portfolio in charge of improving the development of underdeveloped municipalities, Novica Tončev, and the President of the Municipality of Surdulica, Aleksandra Popović.

The Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government has invested RSD 7 million in the establishment of the One-Stop Shop in Surdulica, which functions according to the principle of a one-stop shop system. The opening of this One-Stop Shop has created the possibility for the citizens of Surdulica, in a simple interaction, with one visit to the counter, and in communication with one civil servant, to complete several tasks with the administrative bodies, i.e. to fully exercise several related rights.

The State Secretary at MDULS Čedomir Rakić, on behalf of Minister Aleksandar Martinović, PhD, has welcomed the attendees and emphasized that the Ministry recognizes the efforts of all individual local self-governments, regardless of their level of development, and that it strives to invest equally in projects in all parts of Serbia with the aim of equal development of all regions. At the same time, he emphasized the importance of the establishment of One-Stop Shops at the local level, as a mechanism for expediting the work of public administration and saving huge amounts of money and time for users.

The Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government has so far invested RSD 345 million of budget funds in the establishment of 55 OSSs throughout the Republic of Serbia.

State Secretary Rakić had used his stay in Surdulica to present this municipality with a donation from MDULS in the form of 20 laptops for the needs of further improvement and better functioning of the electronic administration at the local level.
