The Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government, Aleksandar Martinović, PhD, and the President of the Municipality of Gornji Milanovac, Dejan Kovačević, have opened today, to the joy of all the citizens of Gornji Milanovac, a park with a children’s playground, an outdoor gym and a mini-pitch sports field with artificial grass in the settlement of Ivice. For the construction of this modern park, the Ministry had allocated RSD 15 million from this year’s Budget Fund, and the works were completed on time.
Pointing out that a lot has been done in respect of the development of Gornji Milanovac through the synergy between the national and local levels, Martinović has said that the sole implementation of such an important project illustrates the intention of the state leadership to provide citizens in all parts of the country with the best possible living conditions, in order to remain in their hometowns.
“Investing in children is our biggest and best investment. The municipality took this project seriously, the works were completed on time and carried out according to the highest standards, and this will surely become one of the most beautiful parts of Gornji Milanovac. The State, led by the President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, shall continue to invest in the even development of all parts of Serbia, because it is in our interest that young people stay in the areas where they were born and start their families there, to have as many children as possible,” minister Martinović has pointed out.
Announcing that at the beginning of next year, the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government will once again announce a Public Call for financing projects from its Budget Fund, Martinović has said that the Municipality of Gornji Milanovac can also count on the support and assistance of the Ministry in the future for the implementation of quality projects, which are of importance for the population, and stressed that MDULS will continue its successful cooperation with this, but also with all other municipalities in the Moravica Administrative District.
During his visit to Gornji Milanovac, minister Martinović has also visited the rural-tourist household “Čuvarkuća” located on Rudnik mountain.
