Representatives of the South Korean multinational company “Samsung” and the Korean Development Institute (KDI) have visited yesterday the Serbian-Korean Information Access Center (SKIP Center) of the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government, where they discussed the results of the joint project “Development of cloud technology based smart cities in the Republic of Serbia”.
The said project is currently being implemented in the municipalities of Bečej, Šid and Petrovac na Mlavi. In the first phase of the project, the plan is to make a detailed analysis with specific recommendations, while the ultimate goal of the project is to build a broadly oriented model of a smart city, whose services will be based on cloud infrastructure.
In the coming days, as part of the visit to the Republic of Serbia, the delegation from the Republic of Korea shall also visit all three municipalities where the project is being implemented.
