RUŽIĆ: APPLICATION NOTICE BOARD FOR BETTER INFORMING OFFICIALS ABOUT PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION REFORM

The Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government, Branko Ružić, today signed contracts with 10 cities and municipalities, which shall start using the “e-Notice Board” application, initiated by the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government, as part of a pilot project.

The application is intended for internal informing employees about public administration reform and informing them about their rights, obligations, as well as opportunities for training and advancement.

The contracts were signed by Sombor, Zrenjanin, Kruševac, Kragujevac, and the City Municipality of Čukarica- Belgrade, the City Municipality of Savski Venac – Belgrade, Bačka Topola, Ub, Lebane, and the City Municipality of Palilula – Niš.

The Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government, Branko Ružić, pointed out that the application “e-Notice Board” was created for the needs of better dissemination of information on public administration reform, namely in order to improve communication between all levels of government.

“Aware that communication is the key to success, I demanded that a way be devised for employees to have all the information about their rights and obligations under the framework of public administration reform in one place”, indicated Ružić.

 

He highlighted that the idea was to influence the quality of service that citizens receive through improving information dissemination to employees.

On the “e-Notice Board”, employees have the opportunity to receive information from the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government, as well as from all institutions involved in reforms. It will have information on training courses provided by the National Academy of Public Administration, information on vacancies from the Human Resources Management Service, and information on new services from the Office for Information Technologies and E-Government.

“Simultaneously, there will be a personal corner for one’s municipality where you will be able to distribute information that is exclusively at the local level – whether it is information about working hours, new systematization, some local decisions and something else”, stated Minister Ružić.

The Minister said that training courses for using the application shall be organized in the next two weeks for administrators at the local level and for employees as users of the application.

After the pilot project is completed in these 10 cities and municipalities, the plan is to make the application available for all employees in public administration over the course of next year.
