SIGMA EXPERT TEAM TALKS TO MPALSG REPRESENTATIVES ON THE DRAFT LAW AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING THE LAW ON FREE ACCESS TO INFORMATION OF PUBLIC IMPORTANCE

Representatives of the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government talked today to the SIGMA expert team on the comments and suggestions made by that organisation to the Ministry’s Working Group during the public debate on the Draft Law amending and supplementing the Law on Free Access to Informaiton of Public Importance.

Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection Mr. Milan Marinović also took part in the exchange of opinions on SIGMA’s comments and suggestions.

The public debate on the Draft Law amending and supplementing the Law on Free Access to Informaiton of Public Importance lasted from 27 May to 16 June 2021, during which period all interested representatives of state authorities, authorities of autonomous provinces and authorities of local self-governments, as well as members of the academic and expert communities, non-governmental organisations and other stakeholders could make their comments, proposals and suggestions regarding  the Draft Law.

After the public debate, the Ministry’s Working Group analysed all materials that had been received and published the Report on Public Debate.

All documents created during the proceedings of the Working Group, as well as documents concerning the public debate, are available on the Ministry’s website and on the e-Government Portal.
