STATE SECRETARY MAJA MAČUŽIĆ PUZIĆ ATTENDS CELEBRATION TO COMMEND BAJINA BAŠTA MUNICIPALITY DAY

„The President and the current Government are seriously committed to even development of all cities and towns and municipalities in Serbia, and to improvement of the position of women and gender equality. Your community has a lot of young, educated women who are included in the social life and I am sure they will provide new strength to the development of your municipality”, said State Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government Maja Mačužić Pužić today at the ceremonial session of the City Council of Bajina Bašta held to commend the Municipality Day.

She emphasized that cooperation with local self-government units was one of the priorities in the work of the Ministry in this term, which strived to provide assistance to municipalities and cities and towns in further progress and prosperity, and also to all citizens so that they could complete whatever business they may have in their communities faster and easier.

On this occasion, Ms Mačužić Pužić thanked everyone who were on the front line of defence against COVID-19 and again invited as many citizens as possible to vaccinate, in order to successfully preserve human lives and ensure economic prosperity of the municipality.

Before the ceremonial session of the City Council of Bajina Bašta, a work meeting was held between the State Secretary and the management of the municipality, which addressed the improvement of cooperation between the Ministry and this local self-government.
