STUDENTS AT THE FIRST FAIR PRESENTED WITH INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES AT MDULS FOR 2021/2022

The Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government has presented its internship offer for 2021/2022 at the two-day Student Professional Practice in Public Administration Fair, which has been opened today, for 30 students of law faculties of the University of Belgrade, Kragujevac, Niš and Novi Sad, as well as the Faculty of Economics, the Faculty of Political Sciences, the Faculty of Philosophy and the Faculty of Organizational Sciences of the University of Belgrade.

The internships offered to students shall be performed within all sectors of the Ministry, as well as within the Secretariat, the Group for Internal Audit and the Administrative Inspectorate, lasting for 80 hours, that is four hours a day for four weeks.

The internship programme includes two segments, an introductory and an individual internship programme. The introductory programme envisages acquainting the interns with the scope, competencies and affairs of the Ministry, its internal organization, regulations governing areas within the scope of MDULS, as well as with the rights, duties and code of ethics of civil servants. Through the individual programme, the interns within the Ministry will participate in specific jobs and tasks, which are under the jurisdiction of the organizational unit within which the internship is attended, and will be able to count on the support of supervisors, i.e. MDULS officers who have mentoring experience, skills and ability to transfer knowledge to students.

After the internship, the final session “Administration in Theory and Practice” shall be organized, where students present the results of their work on a selected topic in the field within the scope of MDULS in which they completed the internship. Upon completion of the internship, students receive a certificate that provides a certain number of ECTS credits.

The internship opportunity at MDULS was presented at the Fair by Assistant Minister, Jasmina Benmansur, Head of the Sector for Professional Development, while the students can learn more about the internship opportunity via the digital platform of the Palace of Serbia, www.strucnapraksa.mduls.gov.rs, at the MDULS virtual booth, where they can see the promotional video footage about the Ministry and obtain all the important information, ask questions and get answers about the internship.
