Within the project “Local Self-government for the 21st century”, supported by the Government of Switzerland, and implemented by the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government in cooperation with the Standing Conference of Towns and Municipalities and the Public Policy Secretariat, in the period from December 2021 to August 2022, the Municipalities of Opovo, Prijepolje and Sokobanja will be supported in drafting the Development Plan, in accordance with the Law on the Planning System of the Republic of Serbia, i.e. the mandatory elements in the process of creating Development Plans for Local Self-government Units.
On 7 December of this year, the Ministry concluded an Agreement on Business Cooperation with the above municipalities on support for drafting the Municipal Development Plan, in order to implement mentoring and technical support to municipalities for identifying and confirming key priorities and directions of development in a transparent manner and in accordance with the principles of good governance, i.e. for the Municipalities of Opovo, Sokobanja and Prijepolje, in cooperation with all stakeholders, to jointly define the desired changes and framework for implementing activities which shall achieve positive impact in the community.
