SURČIN: THREE NEW CHILDREN’S PLAYGROUNDS OPERATIONAL DUE TO SUPPORT PROVIDED BY MDULS

The Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government, Aleksandar Martinović, PhD, has visited the City Municipality of Surčin today, where he visited three children’s outdoor playgrounds, which were built and equipped with modern equipment supported from the Ministry’s budget funds in the total amount of RSD 19 million.

The playgrounds are located in the yard of the Primary School “22. oktobar” in Surčin, then in the yard of the Kindergarten “Lastavica” in Jakovo, as well as in the yard of the Kindergarten “Biser” in Boljevci.

On this occasion, the Minister has pointed out that the care for the youngest is the highest priority of the Government’s agenda, and that the interest of children is the most important principle governing the work of the Government of the Republic of Serbia.

“We shall continue to allocate funds in order to create even better conditions for growing up of our children. Investing in children is the safest, noblest and the best investment for a stable future, as the President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, often points out, and this is also the basic task of all of us who are engaged in public work,” Minister Martinović has stressed.

Recognizing the importance of the expansion of modern facilities for children’s play and leisure, and with the desire to further improve the quality of life of the youngest residents of Surčin, MDULS had allocated the necessary funds from the Budget Fund for the construction of the aforementioned children’s playgrounds, which fulfilled the wishes of parents, educators and residents.

Children’s playground within the Primary School “22. oktobar” has been operational since September of this year, and is used by a large number of children, because this school is attended by the largest number of students in the area of City Municipality of Surčin. In Jakovo, the children’s playground is equipped with modern furniture, while the largest playground is located in Boljevci, which was opened at the beginning of November. The initial idea about the playground’s appearance was provided by children and teachers from the kindergarten in Boljevci within an art competition.

During his visit to Surčin, Minister Martinović has donated ten laptops with the aim of further improving the development of the electronic administration of this city municipality.
