THANKS TO MDULS, THE MUNICIPAL BUILDING WAS REHABILITATED AND A ONE-STOP SHOP WAS ESTABLISHED IN PETROVAC NA MLAVI

The Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government, Aleksandar Martinović, PhD, has visited today two projects in Petrovac na Mlavi which were successfully implemented with the support of the Ministry, namely the rehabilitated municipal administration building, in which modern decorative lighting was installed, as well as the premises of the newly established service center – the One-Stop Shop. A total of RSD 125 million have been invested in the first project, while the Ministry had allocated RSD 7.5 million for the establishment of a modern center for providing services to citizens and business entities.

“Both projects are infrastructurally very important for all citizens of Petrovac na Mlavi. The municipal building was rehabilitated and the façade was restored, thermal insulation was installed, a new roofing was installed, the entire carpentry was replaced and decorative lighting was installed. The building now represents a true architectural gem of Petrovac na Mlavi. We have also invested money in the establishment of a One-Stop Shop, with the works successfully completed. The training of municipal officials to work in OSS is starting, and soon citizens will be able to use the services and experience the advantages of this mechanism. They will no longer have to go from counter to counter, and everyone’s work shall be facilitated in this way. OSS shortens the procedures, expedites work and saves time, money and resources for both users and employees,” Minister Martinović has said in Petrovac na Mlavi during his visit of implemented projects.

Minister Martinović added that the concept of establishing OSS contributes to the overall digitization of the country and public administration, that there are more than 2.035.000 registered eCitizens on the eGovernment Portal, and that they exercise their rights from various areas of social life every day through the internet and implemented online services.

Minister Martinović has also said that the State had invested considerable funds in this part of Serbia, but also that the Government and MDULS shall continue to invest in Braničevo Administrative District.

In order to improve the electronic administration at the local level, Minister Martinović has presented the President of the Provisional Authority, Duško Nedinić, with a donation from MDULS in the form of 20 laptops with accompanying equipment.

During his stay in Petrovac na Mlavi, Minister Martinović had also visited the domestic bakery “Milanović”.
