THE NETWORK OF SCHOOLS COMMENCED WITH ITS WORK

The first meeting of the newly founded Network of Schools – Joint Body for the Improvement of Institutional Cooperation, whose scope includes capacity building and professional training in state and other bodies, was held on Friday, 22 September, at the premises of the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government, marking the beginning of its work.

This joint body, in accordance with the objectives of the Public Administration Reform until 2030, has the task of establishing the necessary link between institutions in different systems of professional training, in order to, through the exchange of knowledge, experiences and good practices and in close cooperation, recognize needs, define plans and implement interdepartmental training programmes under multi-sector topics for various categories of employees in state and other bodies who, until now, did not have the opportunity to improve their knowledge and skills through joint professional development programmes.

At the meeting, the activities which need to be implemented in the following period were discussed with the aim of adopting the Work Programme of the Network of Schools for 2024, by the end of this year. Bearing in mind the presented proposals for implementation in the next year, it is expected that the Network of Schools shall already begin to achieve the goals for which it was founded in the first year of its operation.

The Network of Schools was founded on 13 July of this year by the Agreement on cooperation in the promotion and encouragement of interdepartmental professional training in state and other bodies, as a Joint body of the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs – Diplomatic Academy, the Ministry of the Interior, the National Academy for Public Administration and Judicial Academy.
