THE SCHOOL NETWORK ESTABLISHED COOPERATION WITH THE GOVERNMENT COUNCIL FOR PROFESSIONAL TRAINING OF EMPLOYEES IN LOCAL SELF-GOVERNMENT UNITS

In order to improve the professional development of employees in local self-government units through the process of intersectional professional development and to enable officials in municipal and city administrations to be trained through programs that will ensure the acquisition of knowledge and skills in multi-sector topics, together with civil servants, police officers, judges and other categories of employees in state and other bodies, the first meeting was held, between the Government Council for professional development of employees in local self-government units and the Network of Schools – a joint body for improving cooperation between institutions whose scope includes capacity building and professional development in state and other bodies.

The purpose of the meeting was to inform the members of the Council, who within their jurisdiction monitor the effects of professional development of employees in local self-government units, with the possibilities for improving that system through the initiative launched by the establishment of the Network of Schools.

In a dynamic discussion, activities were proposed that should provide conditions for the development, preparation and implementation of new multi-sectoral training programs that could significantly contribute to building the capacity of employees in local self-government units, the implementation of which will be started in the coming period.

This meeting is one of the first activities of the Network of Schools in establishing closer cooperation with special expert bodies of institutions of the system of professional development in the state and other bodies, which participate in its development and construction.
