THE STATE HAS INVESTED SIGNIFICANT FUNDS IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF BABUŠNICA AND PIROT ADMINISTRATIVE DISTRICT

“The Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government has achieved very successful cooperation with the Municipality of Babušnica. We have invested RSD 3 million in the establishment of the One-Stop-Shop, which was opened on 30 September of this year. All scheduled deadlines have been met, employees are trained to work and help citizens exercise their rights before the administrative authorities, saving significant time and money. The Ministry also supported the introduction of a system for electronic management of the sessions of the MA Babušnica with RSD 4 million. This is another proof that the state leadership, the Government and the President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, are taking care that the process of digitization and Public Administration Reform takes place equally, at the level of the entire country, and that it is not only a privilege of large cities, but also smaller municipalities like Babušnica,” the Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government, Aleksandar Martinović, PhD, has said during his visit to this municipality.

He has recalled that the intention of the Government of the Republic of Serbia is for the entire national territory to be covered by broadband internet by 2025, which, according to him, will significantly improve the lives of citizens, especially those living in mountainous and rural areas. and enable all citizens, without exception, to access the eGovernment Portal and use modern services made available by the State.

Emphasizing that Babušnica is a very beautiful municipality with huge tourist potential which has been neglected for years, Martinović has stated that this local self-government is rapidly developing today, despite all the inherited problems. He added that thanks to the great efforts made by President Vučić, a development process was initiated at the level of entire Serbia, and that the State had invested significant funds in the rehabilitation and construction of the road infrastructure in Babušnica, which was not at all easy, given that the municipality is very fragmented and that there are 53 settlements.

The minister has said that the Government of the Republic of Serbia will continue to invest in the Pirot Administrative District, in the southern part of the country, but also in all other parts of Serbia, so that young people may stay in their birthplaces and build a life and family there, and has pointed out that Babušnica must not stop, just as Serbia must not stop.

At a meeting with the President of the Temporary Authority of Babušnica, Ivana Stojičić, minister Martinović has donated laptops to the municipal administration, as a form of support for the development and functioning of electronic administration, and he used his visit to Babušnica to tour the agricultural holding of Srbislav Jovanović, as well as two private companies.
