VELIKA PLANA RECEIVED AN OSS AND A MODERN GREEN MARKET, AND THE NEW SQUARE IN FRONT OF THE CULTURAL CENTER WILL BE OPENED SOON

As of today, the citizens of Velika Plana can easily and at one counter, at the new and modern service center which was opened in the municipal administration building, complete the tasks they have with administrative bodies and local services.

With the act of cutting the ribbon, the premises of the One-Stop Shop were officially opened by the Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government, Aleksandar Martinović, PhD, and the President of the Provisional Authority of the Municipality of Velika Plana, Igor Matković.

“The days of sending users from one counter to another are a thing of the past. All departments of the municipal administration are located in one place. Thanks to the initiative of the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government, which over the years has been supporting the establishment of One-Stop Shops in local self-governments with the aim of achieving cost-efficiency and effectiveness, Velika Plana got a modern space for providing related services of public administration bodies,” Minister Martinović has said on this occasion, adding that the mechanism of One-Stop Shops in Serbia has got off the ground and that MDULS has so far helped around 50 OSSs to start their work, that there will soon be more of such centers in the entire Serbia, and that the citizens can exercise more rights in this place with just one interaction with one civil servant, without the need to submit the request individually to the authorities and multiple times.

He also explained that this project contributes to the digitization of public administration, and that it is a huge success that there are currently 2.035.000 registered eCitizens in Serbia, who use numerous electronic services from the most diverse areas and spheres of life and work on the national eGovernment portal. He added that this information shows that the users are also digitally savvy and that not only young people, but also the elderly and pensioners, know how to use modern IT technologies in Serbia.

In order to strengthen the information infrastructure and the capacity to provide electronic services at the local level, Minister Martinović had presented 20 laptops with accompanying equipment to the municipal administration of Velika Plana.

Minister Martinović had also visited the new green market in Velika Plana, the rehabilitation of which was financed by the Ministry, and also visited the city square in front of the Cultural Center, whose rehabilitation is in progress. The Minister had announced that the Ministry shall provide the necessary additional funds in order for this area to be fully rehabilitated. He promised that the citizens of Velika Plana will get a new square at the beginning of next year.

On this occasion, Minister Martinović had stated that the Government, with the support of the President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, had invested more than EUR 3 million in the restoration and rehabilitation of roads in this region in the last few months, and that systemic work is being done in order to ensure good roads in all parts of the country.
