WORKING GROUP FOR EXTERNAL CONTROL OF SINGLE ELECTORAL ROLL CONSTITUTED

The constitutive session of the Working Group for External Control of the Single Electoral Roll, which was formed by the Government of the Republic of Serbia, was held today at the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government.

Opening the constitutive session, the Minister Marija Obradović has emphasized that this is the beginning of a process aimed at improving and increasing transparency, i.e. at raising citizens’ trust in the accuracy of the data kept in the Single Electoral Roll.

“The Single Electoral Roll has never been more up-to-date. By digitizing official records and connecting them with the Single Electoral Roll, we have ensured that the data is up-to-date on a daily basis,” Obradović has said.

The tasks of the Working Group for External Control of the Single Electoral Roll are related to various analytical reports on the state of data in the Single Electoral Roll, as well as to statistical data related to the number of changes in the Single Electoral Roll

In performing the tasks of the Working Group, the processing of personal data shall be performed in accordance with the principles and rules of personal data protection.

Professional and administrative-technical support to the Working Group is provided by the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government.
